In a world where many kids spend hours glued to screens, the Swiss Alps 100 Gletschi 1KM Kids Run is all about getting them moving, having fun, and experiencing the joy of running in the breathtaking Swiss Alps! We're on a mission to inspire the next generation to embrace the outdoors, feel the thrill of crossing a finish line, and develop a lifelong love for sports.

Open to 100 young adventurers aged 4 to 13, this free race is packed with excitement! Divided into three categories—Mini (4-6), Rookies (7-9), and Youngsters (10-13)—our future runners will take off in waves, starting with the oldest. And who better to cheer them on than Gletschi, our beloved Aletsch Arena mascot, waiting at both the start and finish lines to celebrate their achievement!

Each child will receive a souvenir race bib with their first name (if registered before August 1st) and with a passive tracker, so their race time will be recorded and later published on the event website—giving them an official result to be proud of! At the finish line, every finisher will be rewarded with a special medal, a surprise gift, and a free Hot Dog and a drink to refuel after their big effort.

The race will take place entirely within the Sport Resort area, ensuring a safe and fun experience for all. For added security, the Unnergoms fire department will temporarily block traffic during the event until every child has completed the course. And for those little ones who might need some extra encouragement, parents are welcome to run alongside their children!
