All runners will receive a race t-shirt at check-in, unless you choose to donate your shirt to plant a tree. We will have well stocked aid stations throughout the race. All vertical, 50km and 100km finishers will receive a medal and all 100 mile finishers will receive a sub-24 antique silver or sub-48 antique brass buckle.

We will have age group awards (18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) for the 50km, 100km and 160km and each overall male and female age group winner will receive a beautiful wooden age group award.

We will print your name and the flag of your nationality on your bib, but you must register before August 1st.

Each runner (except Vertical) will receive a GPS tracker which has to be carried at all times. That way we always know the exact location of each runner at any time. Family and friends will be able to track their runners with a special app. See the tracking page for more information.

If you are already registered and would like to upgrade or downgrade your registration, you have until July 15th to do so. If you downgrade your registration, for example from the 160km to the 100km, we will not be able to refund you the difference of the entry fee. If you upgrade your registration, like from the 50km to the 100km, then we will charge you the price difference. Runners will not be able to change their race distance after July 15th - no exceptions!

We do not give refunds. If a runner is unable to participate due to injury, we will defer the entry to the following year with a doctor's note.

• You must be 18 years of age and physically and mentally fit.
• By registering, you automatically accept the race rules and regulations.

We do not ask our runners for a medical certificate if they want to run the Swiss Alps 100.

Evacuation by helicopter is not free in Switzerland and in 2019 we had to evacuate a runner which cost him CHF7'000. The decision to evacuate an injured runner is made by the race organization. For this reason, we strongly recommend that each runner has a personal accident insurance policy that covers the costs of search and rescue in Switzerland. The insurance must be valid at least for the duration of the race.
